…until A History of the World since 9/11 is published – and my Publicity Tsar (aka Chris Gair who lives near Godalming) has once again given me a mighty kick up the behind: apparently I should be doing something.
So here’s the plan. From time to time over the next four weeks, bits and pieces of the new book will appear on this site. The whole thing is under a press embargo, so not too much can be given away but a few pictures and select quotes are on their way. Chris G is in charge but don’t panic: he’s read the book. He’s an expert. We’re in his hands. God help us.
In the meantime, The Guardian will be running one of the chapters (in its entirety, I believe) at some point in the next week. I suspect I shouldn’t reveal which one, what it’s about or anything else – other than the fact that it contains some very serious allegations about the Bush Administration’s handling of Iraq in the immediate aftermath of the 2003 invasion – but the moment it’s out, we’ll provide a link, as well as a handful of the photographs and documents that illustrate it.
Happy new year!
